Welcome to QOVO ("we," "our," or "us"). QOVO is a platform connecting clients with certified vehicle inspectors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our website, mobile application, and services. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and the Law of Ukraine on Personal Data Protection.

3. What Data We Collect
Depending on how you use QOVO, we may collect the following personal data. Account & Identity: full name, email address, phone number, profile photo, date of birth (for identity verification). For Inspectors: professional documents and certifications, service area and availability schedule, bank account or payout details (processed via Stripe), inspection history and ratings. For Clients: vehicle information (make, model, VIN), order history and inspection reports, payment information (processed via Stripe — we do not store card details). Usage Data: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, location data (when permission is granted), in-app behavior and feature usage. Communications: messages exchanged between clients and inspectors via in-app chat, and support requests.
4. How We Use Your Data
We process your personal data for: service delivery (to facilitate bookings, inspections, payments, and report delivery); account management; identity verification; payments (processed securely via Stripe); notifications (order updates, messages, and system alerts); safety & trust (to detect fraud and ensure platform integrity); legal compliance with EU and Ukrainian law; and service improvement. Legal bases under GDPR include contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent for marketing and optional features.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with: Stripe (for secure payment processing), Mapbox (for map and location services), Firebase / FCM (for push notifications), cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting and data storage), and law enforcement or regulators when required by law. All third-party partners are bound by data processing agreements and are required to protect your data in line with GDPR standards.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Account data is retained for the duration of the account plus 3 years after deletion. Inspection reports are retained for 5 years for legal and dispute purposes. Payment records are retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations. Chat messages are retained for 2 years. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
7. Data Storage & Transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in the European Union and Ukraine. If data is transferred outside the EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR and Ukrainian data protection law, you have the right to: access (request a copy of your personal data); rectification (correct inaccurate or incomplete data); erasure (request deletion — "right to be forgotten"); restriction (limit how we process your data); portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format); objection (object to processing based on legitimate interests); and withdraw consent at any time.
